Aaron Pouncey is a student at the University of Mobile who is majoring in Music Education. In April of this year, Aaron made his opera debut at the university as a chorus member in Gilbert and Sullivan’s The Pirates of Penzance. During high school, Aaron had the opportunity to act with the Faith Academy Drama program. His first lead role was in Connie Ray’s Smoke on the Mountain as Burl Sanders, the father of a traveling family gospel group. The Following year, Aaron assumed the role of a sandwich loving gambler named Nicely Nicely Johnson in Guys and Dolls, and the following year he finished his high school career by playing Georg Nowak, a salesman in a perfumery who falls in love with a co-worker. Aaron plans to continue his acting career next year by acting in Mozart’s Cosi fan Tutte and performing in Shakespeare’s Twelfth Night directed by the University of Mobile English Department.
